Hi Courtney, Any change with this in 15.2.1? We are currently developing a membership application and we are researching the best options for getting the dues product in the cart.
Thanks

Hi Terry,
15.2.1 does not have any new Soa billing/dues functionality. I know this is a high priority and lots of effort will be put into it in the upcoming months, but I can't say for sure when it will be available.
Cheers,
Courtney
Thanks for the response Courtney. Are you aware of any other posts or documentation that would help us determine the best way to get a dues product added to the basket through a custom application? If the SOA's aren't a good option, what have others done? Just curious is you know of any other recommendations. Thanks again!

Hi Terry,
I'm not sure what others have done. iBO can be used to to run cash billing for a contact. And after the dues item has been billed to the contact, Soa can be used to add it to the cart. Maybe others have better solutions though.
Cheers,
Courtney
Hi courtney, I'm also working with Terry on using the SOA's but I am fairly new to the SOA's and iBO's. Again where would be the best resource/documentation for me to best utilize the iBO.NET information at? Or if there are any links that you are familiar with? Thanks for you help! Appreciate it!
Thanks,
Erica Llaca
Hi Erica,
Here are some documentation links. iBO: http://www.imiscommunity.com/ibo_for_net_api and SOA: http://docs.imis.com/soa/
Hope this helps,
Courtney
Soa is very limited
In 15.2, the Soa billing/dues logic uses pre-existing iBO logic for paying for previously billed items. It does not currently supporting running a billing cycle. In order to pay for a dues/subscription, you would add the invoice to the Cart/ComboOrder. Note that in 15.2 Soa, both cash and accrual will appear as an invoice and you must pay the whole invoice.
Hope this helps,
Courtney Robertson
