We are running Imis 10.6. We have two related issues.
1. We are not closing events because are business requires the ability to get back into the event records. This creates a huge list of events that we must filter through to find the one we are lookinf for. Is there any way to close an event an reopen it?
2. The Activity-All tab reflect records from events that are not closed. How do they get there. It was our understanding that event records do not appear hear until the event is closed?
iMIS 15 Enhancement
1. It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but an enhancement was added in iMIS 15 to address the issue of function and financial data being purged when an event was closed. Now when an event is closed MEETFUNC activities are also created which contain data like function name, amount, etc. Here's a link to the documentation for it: http://docs.imis.com/15.0/25290.htm
2. I'm not sure why the Activity-All tab would show records for event that isn't closed. Is the activity type MEETING? Out-of-the-box iMIS only generates MEETING activities when an event is closed. Could someone have closed the event previously and set the status back to Active or Pending afterwards? This would make an event still appear to be open but all of the registrations would be gone.
