ContentRecord disappeared, cannot re-create with same name.

Hi Guys,

One of the HomePageContentArea entries mysteriously disappeared from the Content Designer, but I can see .aspx file for that content record and it is still visible on our website. So, when I tried recreating the ContentArea with same name I am encountered with the following error:

"Must be unique within its containing parent"

So, how should I fix this issue and also how could this have happened in the first place, as I can’t find anything under recycle bin, other folders or logs?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Soheil

Hi,

We've had same issue - can you see the item in the recycle bin?  If you can, I believe the approach is to purge it.  Then iMIS will let you re-create it with the same name.

Cannot find in recycle bin either

Hi Scott,

It isn't in the recycle bin either so I have linked the original aspx file to new content record by renaming it and now I cannot add/edit contents of it.

Hi Soheil,

Unfortunately I don't have any other helpful suggestions for you - I suspect you might be forced to create new content and new sitemap entries?
