Desktop Client - asi.js issues

Hi,

This morning we started getting asi.js issues in the Desktop Client.  We're running 15.2.1.3282.
When logging on and trying to access tabs like Events, users are getting the following error:-

An error has occured in the script on this page.
line: 31
char: 2980
error: object doesn't support this property or method
code: 0
URL: http://<server>/imis15dev/asicommon/scripts/asi.js

and then

An error has occured in the script on this page

Line: 87
Char: 406
Error: Object doesn't support this property of method
Code: 0
URL: http://connect.facebook.net/en_us/all.js

All other web components of iMIS seem fine.  Also, these errors are happening across all 3 instances of iMIS on our application server.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Scott

Title: TechAlert - JavaScript Error - May 16, 2012
Author: ASI Tech Support

DATE:  May 16, 2012

TO:  All iMIS Solution Providers and Customers using 15.2.1.3282

SUBJECT:  JavaScript Errors

VERSION:  iMIS version 15.2.1.3282

We have been notified by several of our iMIS 15.2.1.3282 customers that they have experienced JavaScript errors as they navigate through the iMIS Desktop or web sites.

As of iMIS 15.2.1.3282, iMIS includes optional Facebook profile picture integration that relies on an API provided by Facebook. We have traced the JavaScript errors back to a change that Facebook has recently made in their API. Again, only customers on iMIS 15.2.1.3282 may be effected.

We have updated the Asi.js JavaScript file which will temporarily disable the Facebook integration.

If you are experiencing this problem, please download the updated Asi.js file from the following link:

          ftp.advsol.com/download/Restricted/AsiNew_js.zip

The file will replace the existing Asi.js in the following locations based on your install (modify path as needed for multi-instance installs of 15.2.1.3282):

Application Server:
          C:\Program Files\ASI\iMIS15\Net\AsiCommon\Scripts
          C:\Program Files\ASI\iMIS15\iMIS_public\AsiCommon\Scripts

WCM Sever (Stand Alone):
          C:\Program Files\ASI\iMIS15\Net\AsiCommon\Scripts

Standalone Public Server:
          C:\Program File s\ASI\iMIS15\iMIS_public\AsiCommon\Scripts

It is important that you make a backup of the original Asi.js before replacing so that the original is maintained.

You can find further information regarding the Facebook integration here:

          http://docs.imis.com/15.2/#!connectingpictureipa.htm

We apologize for any inconvenience and are working on a solution that will be included in the next iMIS update.

Sincerely,

ASI Technical Support

Reoccured

Hi,

Has anyone else had this issue reoccur for them?

It started affecting us again yesterday despite replacing the asi.js files previously.

Regards,

Scott
