Fatal Error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded

I'm trying to upload a file, and I keep getting "Fatal Error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in D:\websites\cms\index.php on line 12."

Does anyone know what causes this and how to get around it? I have uploaded earlier versions of this same file.

iMIS Community's host was recently moved.

The issue probably comes from the fact that we moved iMIS Community to Ashburn which has less bandwidth throughput, plus the internet is just busy/slow today. We incresed the maximum execution to 120 seconds and I hope that takes care of your problem.

Same message

I got exactly the same message. It still says 60 seconds, and although I didn't time it, it seems lite it was about 60 seconds.

There was a second parameter

There was a second parameter (socket timeout) we just bumped to 120 that might help, but can't say yet at this point.

Now fails after 120 seconds

This time it took 120 seconds, but it still failed and still said 60 seconds in the message. I am at home, but I thinkI have uploaded this document from home before. The document is 1.25 MB.

It worked

Setting the time to 5 minutes did the trick.
