iMIS 15.2.10 Who tried?

Hi All,

I'm wondering if someone had a chance to play with a new version of iMIS 15.2.10. We plan to install it on top of our current version 15.2.5, as according to ASI, they fixed some App Pool and memory issues in that version. Would be helpful to hear some feedback from those of you who already have it installed. What is positive, what is negative, etc.

Thanks,

Victoria

15.2.10

iMIS 15.2.10 has a new folder structure with regards to websites and content folders.  If you took the default member site and modified it, it will get over written with the out of the box member site.

Take a look at this

App pool and Memory

Thank you Lisa. Did you notice any performance improvements in the new version re App Pool and Memory? We have a hard time with the App pool in the current version and have to recycle it quite often. Hoping ASI got it fixed in 15.2.10

Restructuring should not touch customer sites

Just to clarify, the restructuring of the website folders - as mentioned in the 15.2.10 enhancements - only affects the sample websites that ship with iMIS out of the box (as of 15.2.10, these are Member and Member Mobile).

If you previously created a copy of a Sample website (e.g., Member) to deploy as your public-facing website, then your copy will not be overwritten by the 15.2.10 upgrade. While you should never use a Sample website in a production environment, if for some reason you did implement the out-of-the-box Member website in a production environment, then you should make a copy of it prior to upgrading - I'm sure you will need to make other changes in order to have your public URL redirect to the new copied site.

Regarding content records, if you have modified any of the out-of-the-box content in the iMIS content folder, it will continue to be overwritten as it always has been. It's always a good idea to copy such content before making changes and the new Save As features and URL Shortcuts help to make that easier. Any new content that you've created will never be overwritten. The new content folder structure is intended to provide a more clearly-identified separation of content that will be affected by upgrade. As of 15.2.10, this only applies to the Sample Websites content folder.

In some upcoming deployment (I cannot say specifically when), we will begin using a new Core Content folder to replace what is currently under the iMIS content folder. Until then, any of the out-of-the-box content that is installed in the iMIS content folder will continue to be overwritten on upgrade.

Improvement

We have seen some improvement with the responsiveness of the website

Thanks

Lisa

imis 15.2.10

I have just upgraded two clients to 15.2.10 from earlier versions of 15.2 and its improving all the time. In both cases I stepped through each production release no issues.
