Improving WCM site performance

Hi All,
I have migrated content from ECM to WCM and noticed the new WCM sites running very slow. Is there anything I can do to improve the site performance? At the moment I am doing the suggested tasks in this imis community forum post. http://www.imiscommunity.com/comment/reply/4370/8368#comment-8368. Is there anything else I can do to improve the speed of the site?
Thanks,
Chamika

What version of Server are  you runing?  Is the issue in processing data or general site performance?

It will help on 2008. it will help performance.

Page Output caching?

We're running into similar performance issues for end users. When we apply a little bit of load to our WCM server (~5 users), the CPU spikes to near 100%.

Is it possible for us to enable .NET page output caching on our WCM pages? [1] Has anyone else tried this yet? With page output cache enabled, we wouldn't see these spikes in the CPU.
