I'm looking for a way to bring in the event hyperlink that would be tied to a specific event. We are using a clone of the Members site. The Members site doesn't include this link in the event display. Two questions:
1. Would it be easier to edit the existing Event Display iPart and point the image link to the event link that can be found in the event setup.
2. Create a new iPart to pull in the information.
I don't have any experience creating/editing iParts so this will be a new venture for me either way.
Event Display Content Record
Hi There,
Event Display is one way to go. Make a copy of the Event Display Content record and then configure the Event Display iPart to include the event code that you want to highlight. Once you do that you can direct visitors to that page from anywhere on your site.
To do that:
1. Find the content record iMIS>>Events folder - highlight the content record by clicking once
2. Under Organize - select Copy
3. Select the folder you want to paste the record into
4. Under Organize - select Paste
5. Edit the content record
6. Configure the iPart - depending on which browser you're using you'll either see a small down arrow in the right corner of the iPart for Event Display OR click the word Configure.
Enter the Event Code in the configuration option called Event Key i.e. CONF12 and that will only pull in the information for that event.
