In an attempt to use either the Login.aspx page or the Change Login Password iPart to allow (or possibly force) members to change their username/login and/or password, we are not getting the results we're expecting. I've created a ticket with ASI tech support, but that has not gotten me far.
On the Login.aspx page (if you login and go back to the login page, you will be prompted with text fields to update login and another option to update your password), the password change section works wonderfully - the login change section doesn't do anything upon click of the button. It doesn't display an error, it just doesn't function. I do get an Informational notice in the Event Viewer on the server:
Event code: 3005
Event message: An unhandled exception has occurred.
While attempting to use the Change Login Password iPart, we do get an error on the screen (see attached file) and also an error in the Event Viewer on the server:
Event code: 4006
Event message: Membership credential verification failed.
Event time: 8/16/2012 5:06:47 PM
Event time (UTC): 8/16/2012 9:06:47 PM
Event ID: 4a97211b4dd3499db9687da1eb53f109
Event sequence: 21080
Event occurrence: 39
Event detail code: 0
I know that the password is correct (there are instances where I just reset it using the change password section). A Synchronization of NetContacts in the DBRepair Utility didn't fix the issue, a step attempted on the suggestion from ASI tech support (a total of 0 records were out of sync).
Now I'm wondering, is this an issue with the standard Change Login Password iPart in a 15.2.0 installation of iMIS or is there a configuration or something on this particular server that is causing this error?
In my local installation of iMIS (15.2.5), I am able to change the login without an issue.

UPDATE
I did find another client of ours who is on 15.2.0 and I am getting the same results on that client's iMIS environment as well. As well, this same result is occurring on yet another client who is on 15.2.1.
At this point, I'm thinking
bugundocumented feature in versions under 15.2.5... is there a workaround? Are others seeing these same results with versions previous to 15.2.5?Upgrading is not an option at this point for this client.
