I just passed my first in the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 series of exams, MCTS 70-528 "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Web-Based Client Develoment". This is one of the two tests required for MCTS .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications certification. The other test required for this cert is MCTS 70-536 "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Application Development Foundation", which I'm planning to take sometime soon.
As for this exam, I found it pretty straightforward being comparable with 70-315 in the MCSD.NET series. The Transcender prep exam on \\devexam was invaluable and was my main method of preparing leading up to the exam. I'd previously read parts of various .NET 2.0 books including most recently MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-528): Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0 Web-Based Client Development (Pro Certification). The copy I used belongs to ASI so if you'd like to use it just let me know.
Some background info: I had gotten my MCSD.NET over two years ago. When the newer exams for .NET 2.0 had come out I had initially planned to take the quick route to MCPD glory by taking the MCSD Upgrade exams 70-553 and 70-554. Over a year ago, before any quality prep materials or Trancender prep exams were available for these two tests, I studied for and failed to pass the 70-553 exam. I found it to be a miserable bear of an exam but I ended up failing only one section as I far as I can recall. It is literally three exams crammed into one. I think it may be more easily achievable now with the Transcender's available. For me, I've chosen instead to go the route 70-528, 70-536, & 70-547 to the MCPD Web Developer certification. After taking and passing this most recent exam I'm happy with this decision.
