We are on iMis15 and need to be able to have “new members” join through the web. Once the non-member pays membership fees then be able to register to our conference as members. Has anyone done that ?
New Member registeration?
New Member Registration
Our solution to this has been to use Applications Manager for iMIS which is an iMIS integrated tool that allows applications to be created from a question bank.
Each field can be integrated with an iMIS field and iMIS validation tables can be used to validate web data. At the end of the process, iMIS is update and activity records created. If the form is a payment based form, then the user can enter a credit card payment and the financials are recorded against the iMIS A/R. In terms of technology this uses iBO.Net and Web Services and since it has a full interface to create and change the web based forms and can be used to construct multiple forms it provides a very flexible approach to solving this problem.
If any one needs further information, i would be happy to oblige.

If you would like to take a look at a live system try http://www.physoc.org which uses the Application Manager for iMIS and the committee integrated application review process.
Here is a link to the Ordinary Membership application form https://www.physoc.org/iMISSite/applications/apply.asp though you may have to register and create an account first.
The registration process for this site is via Web Services for iMIS and if you take a look at the event booking, this is also done using Web Services for iMIS.
Application Manager?
There is no standard package called Applications Manager for iMIS. How much is to purchase this software? Please provide me info on how I can get this application. Thank you.
Application Manager for iMIS
This is a product created by Fisher Technology, an iMIS aISP. Further details of the product may be obtained here:
http://www.fishtech.net/site/cms/contentDocumentDownload.asp?id=6
Pricing information is better done off-line rfranks@fishtech.net as there are a number of options depending on the use you need to make of the product.
You can do that with iMIS TaskCentre
We are demonstrating this routinely now, using the add-on business process automation tool iMIS TaskCentre. Typically the scenario is this sort of thing:
- User on the website checks a box saying "I want to join"
- TaskCentre creates dues lines for him, and emails him an invitation to pay his dues on the web.
- But if the user clicks the "Pay my dues" menu item, even before seeing the email, he can pay them immediately.
- Paying the dues triggers a change to his member type according to your rules
- He can pay member prices for the event registration

New Member Registration
Over the last few months we've constructed a very successful webpage that handles new "NonMember" registration followed by various options to register from a selection of Membership Types. The entire pages framework was built using the new iBO.NET in conjunction with IMIS's public views and direct interaction with the SQL Database.
Unfortunately, the website is experiencing non-IMIS related issues that are causing IMIS issues (IMIS is not designed to work in a non responsive environment, so the slow speeds are causing timeouts through the IMIS process). However, if you want to take a look at the site it's at https://secure.aapspharmaceutica.com
