We are on iMis15 and need to be able to have “new members” join through the web. Once the non-member pays membership fees then be able to register to our conference as members. Has anyone done that ?
We have a couple of different solutions for this issue.
We have a JOOMLA and DRUPAL module that allows you to integrate either of these free web content management systems to your iMIS database.
Both JOOMLA and DRUPAL give you the ability to deploy sophisticated websites with content management and a number of important community features. Indeed, i think this very website itself is powered by Drupal.
When users register on the website, our plugins will replicate the user information from the website into iMIS. Also if users are created in IMIS (such as a user joining by phone) then the user information is available to the website.
We have modules that allow for Authentication and Registering of users, for customer self service (update my own info), for customer renewal of subscriptions and membership dues, and for a number of other business scenarios. We also have a solution that allows you to sell products created in iMIS via the web.
If all you want is to be able to get new users from the web into IMIS, then grab a free copy of either JOOMLA or DRUPAL and give us a call for a quote on the Authentication Services. JOOMLA has the quickest and easiest install both for initial setup and for the authentication plugin - although DRUPAL is the more sophisticated and feature rich product.
