Publishing Content from multipl WCM instances

If a client has a public facing WCM that is connects to iMIS over a WAN. Would it be possible to have another instance of WCM internally near the iMIS database where content can be published and used in the public site or does all of the content need to be published from the public WCM site only?

Thanks

You can create/edit content

You can create/edit content directly on the appserver (or on another WCM server, if you prefer). When published the content will automatically be published to all of the publish servers, including any remote WCM servers. Navigation items that are published on the appserver will automatically be picked up by other servers after a brief delay (no more than ~15 minutes by default).

So if the remote Wcm server is the only publish server listed, can content still be created and published on the internal app server?

Yes, it can. (However, there

Yes, it can. (However, there should be two publishing servers listed; one for the appserver and one for the WCM server. The installer should have created both automatically unless you supplied the same PublishServerCode in both cases -- which will still work as long as they both use the same local paths.)
