Word merge letters - Search parameter default source

I have modified the Main Tables, Search and Report Fields parameters in Report Specs for a Word letter.

When a user wants to copy and modify this letter, they do "Save As" within the iMIS letter system. When iMIS creates the new entry in Report_Desc then it takes the Main Tables information from the letter being copied. However, it takes the Search and Report Fields information from elsewhere in iMIS.

I have found where the Report Fields value comes from; it is in System_Params where ParameterName = 'FR_Control.WordMergeFields' (FR for fundraising).

However, I cannot tack down where the Search value is being pulled from.

Letter merge doens't work

We have one iMIS workstation in office and letter system doesn't work propery? When I click "New Letter' under Letters tab in Customers module, it brings out Letter text window instead of normal Standard letter window with merge option. Other iMIS workstation have letter standard windows where you can see all of letter reports? I've checked system setup and verified correct path for report folder, this doesn't seems to be issue. Can anyone else experienced this issue? Please help! Thanks,

Word Tip: Justification can look good

This is another informational item to make life a little easier and more productive.
Do you avoid full justification in Word because it sometimes results in huge       gaps       between       the words on a line? This happens because Word only adds spaces between words for justification. WordPerfect, on the other hand, narrows spaces between words to get a similar result. You can get Word to do full justification like WordPerfect by choosing Tools/Options/Compatibility and checking the box next to "Do full justification like WordPerfect 6.x for Windows"

what iMIS tells you about the Word Merge install

There are several bits that need to be set up to enable using Word Merge inside iMIS -- the Word .OCX needs to be installed, MS Word needs to be installed on the workstation, and the Word shared document folder needs to be set up and valid (File/System Setup/Choose MS Word Folder). The Help/About/System Info window provides information about the state of these items. This window lists versions for all the ActiveX components in iMIS, and the AsiWordInt.ocx version is at the end of the list. The table below shows possible values for the AsiWordInt.ocx version and what they mean.
