I would like to get settings such as SMTP server and use them when developing addons for eCM 15 .NET. What objects would I use to get these settings?

I've got some clients who are using e-CM and they are asking for some custom web applications that I will be writing in ASP.NET I have limited experience with e-CM and was looking for tips on developing web apps to be used with in the e-CM. Can this even be done? How do I handle user logins? How do I deploy these apps?

Any times, no matter how small, would help me greatly.

my customer is getting ready to go live and during final testing has noticed a very serious performance issue. their configuration is a web server running eCM, an application server and a database server, all in house. during analysis they noticed that every page brings in a ton of style sheets. they feel this is contributing to the preformance issue. is there a way to eliminate the unused style sheets and will this improve performance?

Our customer is looking to log in from the home page. We are using eCM 5.1 and a .net template. Has anyone succeeded at doing this?

Has anyone expanded the site search in eCM to include products in iMIS?

How do you insert a custom page inside of a content record using a .Net website? I know in the past we have used template=/path/filename.cfm but that was with a coldfusion website.

Can anyone tell me if the WYSIWYG Editor can be enabled to use Javascript inside of Content Manager? It will only allow me to use the text editor when I use JavaScript.

I am new at implementing eCM. When I go to create content I would like the editor to be working vs. text. I have a license for ektron but it doesn't seem to work. How do I get it to work?

I have been able to implement eCM but after changing content it won't publish. When I check the service I find it is running but when I check the error logs it says it is not runing. Here is the message:
2007-11-26 08:44:44: Publishing Server 1 could not be started: The Publishing Server with a server code of 'D' and an IPAddress of this physical server cannot be found. Please examine your server set-up and try again.
