SQL 2005 Service Pack 4 & IE 9 - Windows 2008 Updates - Any iMIS15 Issues?

I wanted to ask the Community about the updates below that Windows Update is telling me that I need to install on my Windows 2008 Servers.  I am very diligent about keeping the servers updated with the monthly security patches but I am hesitant to pull the trigger on service pack updates and IE version changes.  I have been burned before with iMIS bombing in some way, shape, or form after a service pack upgrade (be it either to the OS itself or SQL).  I have a two server configuration consisting of a 32bit Windows 2008 iMIS application server and a 64bit Windows 2008 SQL Server 2005/Exchange 2007/Public Web server.  I wanted to check to see if I should install the SQL service pack 4 and IE 9 on the servers and if anyone had issues (or if ASI has reported issues).

32 bit Windows 2008 iMIS App Server
Recommended:
• Microsoft  SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332) – 55.8MB
• Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Server 2008 – 18.0MB

64 bit Windows 2008 SQL 2005/Exchange/Web server
Recommended
• Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Server 2008 x64 based systems – 35.3MB
Optional
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 4 (KB2463332) – 374.4MB

Thanks for your advice……

Haven't seen any problems

I have installed all those updates on various servers without any serious issues.  The SP4 update seems to have some trouble installing with other updates at times.  While IE 9 feels different than IE8, I haven't encountered any noticeable changes in how webpages appear or act.

IE9 is not an officially

IE9 is not an officially supported browser for iMIS versions 15.1.3 and earlier, so there could be some issues there.  "Compatibility mode" can resolve some issues but might not resolve all of them.  Just be aware of that.  If you have another browser installed (such as a supported version of FireFox) you can use that with iMIS if you discover any problems, and be okay with updating to IE9 if you wish on your installation.  You have options here.

SQL Server 2005 SP4 works fine with iMIS.
