Tracking pages/content records with eContent Manager through a web stats application

Is anyone using eContent Manager with SmarterStats (website stat tracking)? I was wondering if it was possible to track which content records are being hit. Looking at the reports in SmarterStats, the most "popular" page is /AM/Template.cfm but nothing after that.

Just curious.

Thanks,
Terry

We use Google Analytics..

..and it seems to work OK although it sometimes interferes with the admin portal WIZYWIG tool - OK if you know HTML or can remove and readd the code after editing. We have added the script to the Home Content Area and Content Area on every page and it monitors all the pages giving you tracking through the site. Sadly the only thing we can't seem to get is the actual usernames that are logged in which is a shame as it is authenticating against the database.

Google Analytics

So, I'm curious, were you able to tweak the content record creation page to auto-insert the Google Analytics code? Does it work for you in the body?

Right now, we are struggling with breaking out our analytics by content area. Your thoughts would be very valuable!
thanks!

Google Analytics - more info

I have manually entered the html code supplied by Google Analytics at the very top of Home Content Area 2 and Content Area 2 [these appear on every page bar a couple of oddities that i'm still trying to find!!!]
This then returns stats on every page and enables you to see page tracking, content visited, length of stay and many more very useful stats.
I expect Home Content Area 1 and Content Area 1 would work in exactly the same way.
We also tried 'Clicky' at the same time which also worked fine [so as to compare the stats returned by both] but this is not free after the trial 30 days, although not expensive.
I am waiting till the end of the month to breakdown the stats fully - willl be pleased to advise of the usefulness of my findings.
One thing - as i mentioned it upset our HTML editor WIZYWIG and our suppliers have simply said remove the code - its not supported - so place it somewhere you don't modify a lot!!
