Using IQA results set with Letters

I would like to use the results set from an IQA to merge to a Word template in the Letters system and therefore create activities on each record.  Is this possible within iMIS or would I have to use Task Centre?

Thanks for any assistance.

You can create bulk of

You can create bulk of activities with in IMIS by using Import activities module from ASI this allows you to input CSV file and it creates activities for each contact ( assumption: IQA resultsets are exported as CSV file)

Also you can do mail merge by selecting your letter template datasource as IQA CSV output file. This process just creates merge documents, there is no mechanism to attach these letters to created activities from previous step .

I don't know whether task center can do all these steps at one go.

Generate Reports / Letter System

I had hoped there would be a way within Generate Reports and Letter System that would select the records using the IQA and therefore create the activities like it does if you use an ad hoc search.

I'll try the import activities to see if that can get us by.

Thanks

Just checking...

Were you able to get Letter System to work with IQA results. I see this post is 7 months old but I am hoping you are still subscribed to it.

I am also trying to do something similar.

No such luck...

Hi Sandeep

No didn't get anywhere so just used the IQA results exported to Excel to create the merge documents then used the import activities to record that we sent it.

Its not ideal but it does the job.

Maybe an enhancement request is worth a shot.

Thanks for the followup.

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for the reply.

I think I will go that route too and get the results from IQA in excel and then do the word merge outside of iMIS.

I did check with support and they said they will request for this enhancement.
