after I make changes via the nav designer, what do i have to do to have the changes take affect?
I am attempting to use the nav designer to control who gets to use some of the items in system setup. I have assigned a role to the items of sys admin if i don't want the user to see it and I have added a product manager role to the user and assigned it to item I want them to see. It doesn't seem to lock the user out of the sys admin items. has anybody tried this?
Come back to it tomorrow?
I've noticed that sometimes when I change a nav item, the change does not take effect immediately. I'm not sure what all is at play here--some delay between saving the change and having it actually published to the site, perhaps? Or maybe I had both the Casual View and iMIS Desktop open at the same time? Yet, when I give up and move on to something else, I find that I can come back to it and see that the change has happened. Maybe you should restart the ASI Publishing server?
