WCM Cross platform and Cross Domain SSO.

From what I understand a WCM website is slightly different from a Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) web site.

While the rendered output of a WCM website provides a total website experience for visitors to the site, a single WCM website can actually be hosted on multiple web servers even though you are only maintaining a single website in your WCM environment.

Is the same true for Cross Domain?

Within the internal structure of IIS, a WCM website is usually maintained as a subset of the iMIS15 application that provides the Desktop and Web views of iMIS, but you can optionally configure IIS to host WCM websites as individual IIS applications or even as individual IIS web sites.

Could you elaborate?

So far we have sucessfully impliemted a cross platform  iMIS 15.1.1.3*** Public Views SSO with ColdFusion application on a single domain and ASP cross domain.

This was done with out WCM.

To meet customer requirements we would need WCM to

  • Assertion Query and Request Protocol
  • Authentication Request Protocol
  • Artifact Resolution Protocol
  • Name Identifier Management Protocol
  • Single Logout Protocol
  • Name Identifier Mapping Protocol
