In reference to FreeLinks

When using a FreeLink in a HTMLContent Entry, the editor strips one set of braces, leaving [Content_ID] rather than [[Content_ID]. The published page renders [Content_ID] as normal text.
The same behavior is evident (for my system) whether the link is relayed from the clipboard or entered by hand.
Adding a third brace [Content_ID] renders Content_ID in the editor, but [Content_ID] in the published text.
(The forum is also stripping braces. In the preceding line, the first Content_ID has three pairs of braces, the second has two, and the third has one.)

Has anyone been able to use the FreeLink technology as documented?
Is there another way to input internal links so that an application can be moved between host names (or even application names).
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm guessing you have a "Website Content" document with a Publish File Name of Content_ID? I tried using a freelink for a piece of content named "About" within my site and it seemed to work OK. Note that my new Website Content is in the same Content Folder as my "About" Website Content. I haven't tried it inside another folder, but I imagine it would work the same way.
Hope this helps,
