What is in the next Visual Studio?

I attended a Microsoft MSDN Roadshow yesterday. The presentations were about what they are planning to add to the next Visual Studio, code name "Orcas".

The presentations are all available for download from:
www.roadshowresources.com

This is a list of the presentations:

Session 1 - Language Enhancements and LINQ
Session 2 - AJAX Development
Session 3 - Advances for Data in VS "Orcas"
Session 4 - Rich Client Applications with XAML
Session 5 - Developing for Windows Live

Some of this technology is available now - see the slides for more details.

Next Visual Studio

I also heard that they will provide tools to allow a non-XML expert to modify the Ribbon in Office. Where do I put the TradeMark macro in the meantime? How do I add my custom button face even with these tools?

TradeMark Macro and Office Ribbons

Microsoft said they would only allow developers to change the ribbon - there isn't going to be the facility for users to modify the palette as there was in earlier versions of office.

Office 2007 has an "add-ins" tab that allows you to assign buttons to macros, so you should put the TradeMark macro there.
