Windows 7, iMIS 10.6 and incorrect serial number

Hi there,

I'm currently trying to install v10.6 on a Windows 7, 32-bit machine. Running as Administrator, C:\temp folder created and adjusted the destination via My Computer (Properties) -> Environmental Variables, also ran under Compatibility Mode.

When the iMIS installation wizard runs and I'm prompted to enter the serial number (the same one I've used for 5 years running), I get the error message: "The serial number is incorrect. Please try again...". Tried everything and still not getting anywhere. Would appreciate any pointers, anything really!

OmnisSerial.exe...

...performs the serialization, so you can run it independent of the install wizard.  I'm not aware of any Win7 issues with this, 32-bit or otherwise.  If you have iMIS installed on another computer, you might try this to confirm the serial number: go to Help / About / System Info and click Copy to Clipboard.  Paste into Notepad, then select and copy the serial number value and paste it in OmnisSerial.exe.
